Lynne Troup
Board Member
Lynne grew up in the Chicago area and spent much of her adult life in Baltimore, MD. But it was during a period of 3 years living in London that her love of theatre blossomed. In 1990’s London it was easier to attend live theatre than go to a movie and she tucked into a feast of West End and National Theatre offerings and Children’s Theatre for her two young daughters. Her eldest was bit by the theatre bug by the age of 7 and continued to pursue the performing arts through graduate school, today living in New York working in the arts.
After graduating with a degree in English from Drake University, Lynne’s career path led her into magazine writing and editing in Chicago and later corporate communications, speech writing and press relations in Baltimore.
Lynne and her husband Peter moved to Boulder in 2010 after their daughters were grown, drawn by the promise of life in this vibrant community. She has been a supporter and patron of the arts in Boulder, served as a Board Member for the Boulder Bach Festival and has been especially impressed with the quality and energy of the Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company. She is delighted for the opportunity to serve BETC as a board member.
