ABOUT THE PLAY

A woman arrives at a remote country pub in Ireland and is entertained by the local bachelors who drink there. As the men compete to impress her with ghostly tales, she reveals a startling story of her own.

The Weir is a modern masterpiece from one of Ireland’s most acclaimed playwrights, blending haunting storytelling with tender Irish camaraderie.

The play reminds us that empathy and friendship grow out of the myths and stories that bind us.

RUN TIME

The Weir is expected to run approximately 95 minutes, with no intermission.

The Weir is a profound meditation on the twin themes of loneliness and community, told so theatrically that you’ll savor each peat-scented phrase.
