ABOUT THE PLAY
A woman arrives at a remote country pub in Ireland and is entertained by the local bachelors who drink there. As the men compete to impress her with ghostly tales, she reveals a startling story of her own.
The Weir is a modern masterpiece from one of Ireland’s most acclaimed playwrights, blending haunting storytelling with tender Irish camaraderie.
The play reminds us that empathy and friendship grow out of the myths and stories that bind us.

The Weir is part of the 2026-2027 Season Subscription package. Using the code provided to them, subscribers will receive 10% off of additional single tickets beyond their subscriptions.
TICKETS
Single tickets for the Friday-Sunday performances are $42.00. Preview tickets are $25.00.
Students can get $15.00 tickets and must show a valid student ID at the theatre.
Tickets purchased through BETC will be emailed to you automatically from ‘Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company.’
Purchased tickets from the Dairy Arts Center will be emailed to you directly from the box office, and copies can be found on your Dairy Arts Center account.

CAST
Mark Collins (JIM) is happy to be back with BETC where you may have seen him as Goose in Coal Country and Stockmann in An Enemy of the People. Other credits include Pump Boys and Dinettes, Misery, Before You Go, God of Carnage and The Cripple of Inishmaan at Miners Alley; Burning Bluebeard, Impossible Things and Small (The Catamounts); The Trip to Bountiful (Bas Bleu); The Israeli-Palestinian Conversation (Maya Productions); The Quality of Life, The Beauty Queen of Leenane (Benchmark Theatre). He holds an MFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
Colleen Lee (VALERIE) is a Denver-based performer, photographer, artist, and youth theater educator. Recent theater credits: Mary Jane (BETC), A Doll's House, Part 2 (Denver Theater Ensemble), Miracle on 34th Street, Memphis (Town Hall Arts Center), Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Elusive Ear, A Christmas Story, The Crucible (Miners Alley Performing Arts Center), and An Octoroon, Meteor Shower (Benchmark Theater). As a youth theater director/educator Colleen works with young people at the Arvada Center and Miners Alley Performing Arts Center. Colleen is very grateful for the opportunity to work with the fantastic cast, crew, and production team at BETC. She lives in Evergreen with her husband and two daughters.
Colin Martin (FINBAR) Colin Martin is an award-winning actor and audiobook narrator who has worked professionally since childhood, performing on stage, in film, television, industrial training videos and audio books. He has appeared in major feature films including Star Trek: Nemesis and Family Man, and is a founding member of the American Russian Theater Ensemble and The City Shakespeare Company. Colin has played many of Shakespeare’s great roles on stage with companies such as the California Shakespeare Company, Laguna Beach Playhouse, Shakespeare Orange County, and Theatreworks. You can find him most recently in the indie feature film Deany Bean is Dead, currently available on Amazon Prime.
Michael Morgan* (JACK) was last seen at BETC as Marty/Douglas in Hope and Gravity. Previous credits include Loyd in Job and Breeding in The Minutes (Curious Theatre Company); Tartuffe in Tartuffe (Arvada Center); Edward in 10 Myths on the Proper Application of Beauty Products (Buntport Theatre); Shag in Equivocation (Colorado Shakespeare Festival); and Midas in Metamorphoses (Aurora Fox). Awards include: Denver Post’s 2011 Ovation Award for Best Supporting Actor as Quango Twistleton in Curious’ Homebody/Kabul; Best Year for an Actor, 2018, Westword; and the 2018 True West award for his performance in Benchmark’s The Arsonists.

Rowan Livengood (SOUND DESIGN) Rowan is a local sound designer, proud to be rejoining BETC. Previous BETC sound designs: Hope & Gravity and Enemy of The People, Cry It Out and Mary Jane. Additional credits include ASM for Coal Country, Eden Prairie 1971, Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson Apt. 2B, The Royale, and The Children and audio engineer for King Penny Golden Radio Show. A music lover and all around creative individual, Rowan is constantly raising the bar for himself and his craft.
Candace Orrino (DIRECTOR) is a director, actor, and audiobook narrator. At BETC, she directed the Henry award-nominated Cry It Out, JQA, and Dorothy’s Dictionary. Other directing credits include Good People (Ouray’s UpstART Theatre), The Real Inspector Hound (University of Colorado), and Double Gothic (University of Central Missouri). Riley Martin (COSTUME DESIGNER) Riley is a self-produced theatre artist that began creating costumes and magical worlds in 2019. Riley previously designed costumes for BETC’s production of Cry It Out and Mary Jane. She attended Colorado Film School for acting and directing. She completed her studies at New York University at Playwrights Horizon School, studying all forms of craft and production for theatre and performance. Her artist name is Singing Bones, and produces other theatrical and cinematic projects such as VERA ZANE, The Idea of Black and White, and more.
