Colorado Premiere

At approximately 7:40 a.m. on May 5, 2017, a male jogger shoved a woman into the path of an oncoming bus on London’s Putney Bridge. The alert bus driver swerved out of the way, saving the woman’s life. 

The entire incident was captured on a CCTV video, thrusting the incident into one of the biggest stories of the year. 

Irish playwright Sonya Kelly, inspired by the events of that day, explores the lives of the three unnamed strangers in a lyrical play that has received widespread acclaim.  

In her fictional reimagining of a story that gripped a nation, Kelly holds up a mirror to our own lives,  revealing how the relentless nature of modern life can lead to a loss of humanity as well as acts of  courage and heroism.

Once Upon a Bridge is expected to run approximately 70 minutes, with no intermission.
