Phones Locked: To protect the privacy of our performers, this show is partnering with Yondr to ensure performances are phone-free. Upon arrival, all phones must be powered off and locked in Yondr pouches. Guests maintain possession of their phones and can have them unlocked at intermission as needed. All pouches will be opened at the end of the performance.

Single tickets for the Friday-Sunday performances are $42.00. Preview tickets are $25.00.
Students can get $15.00 tickets and must show a valid student ID at the theatre.
Tickets purchased through BETC will be emailed to you automatically from ‘Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company.’

Prentiss Benjamin* (ISIDORA) is proud to be making her BETC debut. Recent credits include Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson in Apt 3B (FAC); Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really (Arvada Center); Half Life of Marie Curie, Small Mouth Sounds, Heisenberg (Theatreworks). Prentiss has been seen in NYC and Off-Broadway in How To Build A Better Tulip; Rouge Atomique; and Romeo and Juliet. Additional select regional credits include Boeing-Boeing (Arts Center of Coastal Carolina), Bluff (Boarshead Theatre), Mrs. Warren’s Profession, The Dining Room (The Cape Playhouse), Importance of Being Earnest, The Mousetrap (Fulton Opera House). Prentiss is a former ballet dancer. She trained under David Downs at Northwestern University and is a 25 year member of AEA.
MacKenzie Beyer (SWING- ISIDORA / MARGIE) is thrilled & honored to be a part of the Liberation team at BETC, after previously appearing as Lina in Cry It Out (August '25), which received Henry and OSCA award nominations. She is beyond grateful to have worked with many wonderful companies and theatre professionals across Colorado, including the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Curious Theatre, TheatreWorks, Miners Alley Playhouse, The Colorado Shakespeare Festival School Tour, Shakespeare In The Wild, Stories On Stage, and Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company. MacKenzie is an Audiobook Narrator with the Library of Congress National Library Service and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Classical Acting from The Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy in Washington, D.C. After Liberation, you can see her in another Pulitzer-winning play, Sweat, at Theatreworks in Colorado Springs, this April-May.
Bekah-Lynn Broas (SWING- DORA / SUSAN) is very grateful to be a part of this team. She is firstly, an artist and actor, coming to work with BETC in the cast of Hope and Gravity at the start of 2025. She's helped organize and lead marketing initiatives for several non-profits since 2017, including her own photography business. Her expertise and experience in quality content creation, production and promotion helps effectively achieve the goal of getting the face and heart of BETC out into the community! She believes this organization can not only create quality theatre, but can be a place and a people for anyone to call home.

Kaylee Hawkins (DORA) is so grateful for the opportunity to be working with BETC and Kate Gleason on a show as important as Liberation. You might recognize Kaylee as Beth from BETC’s production of Little Women. Kaylee graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with her BFA in Acting and Directing in 2019. Kaylee would like to thank the incredible cast, crew and playwright, as well as her loving family. She would also like to thank all of the women from a multitude of backgrounds and generations that brought her to this very place.
Emma Messenger (MARGIE) previously appeared in BETC’s Hope and Gravity. Other memorable performances include Bite-Sized (DCPA Off Center), All My Sons and The Mousetrap (Arvada Center), Misery and The Odd Couple Female Version (Miners Alley), Steel Magnolias and The Roommate (Silco), The Cake and The Secretary (Curious Theatre), The Glass Menagerie (Vintage Theatre), Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet (CSF). Emma has won the CTG Henry Award for outstanding acting four times. She is a five-time True West Award-winner and has been honored multiple times by Onstage Colorado and Westword including being awarded Best Season for an Actress.
Jessica Robblee (SWING - LIZZIE / PRODUCING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR) Her BETC acting credits include Witch, Brooklyn Laundry, The Belle of Amherst, What the Constitution Means to Me, and This. She has performed with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, the Arvada Center's Black Box Repertory Company, the DCPA Theatre Company, Theatre Aspen, Curious Theatre, Square Product Theater, Sis Tryst Productions, Wild Blindness Productions, UpstART Theatre, Off Square Theatre and Buntport Theater. Robblee received a Henry Award for her work in The Belle of Amherst (BETC), True West Awards for her work in Frankie and Johnny (Miners Alley) and Electric Baby (Arvada Black Box), and Westword recognitions for her work in The Moors (Arvada Black Box) and This (BETC).
Antoinette Robinson* (JOANNE) is pleased to make her BETC debut! She was most recently seen as Mark Antony in Julius Caesar at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival and again in the world premiere of Friends Romans Countrymen by David Davalos. She appeared in both the Broadway and International company of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Off-Broadway: New York Classical (As You Like It). Selected Regional: Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Theater of DC, The Huntington, Hudson Valley Shakespeare, Theater for a New Audience, Folger Theater, The Rep, Hyde Park Theater, Seattle Children’s Theater and Pennsylvania Shakespeare Theater. Branden Smith (BILL) has worked as a director, producer, set builder and actor in Colorado over the last 7 years at the Breckenridge Backstage Theatre where he served as Creative Producer. Some favorite directing work includes Inventing Van Gogh (2 Henry Awards), The Understudy, Every Christmas Story Ever Told, and The Importance of Being Earnest for BBT. Branden recently wrote the book for a new Colorado musical: The Great Divide for the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts with Breck Create. For years, Branden created content and ran the social media channels for Keystone and Copper ski resorts. He holds a theater degree from Emerson College in Boston.
Alice Zelenko (SUSAN) is so excited to return to her beautiful hometown to do this beautiful play! Alice is a graduate of NYU Tisch Drama (The Classical Studio/Atlantic Acting School), a member of the sketch comedy group Enemies to Lovers, and works as a teaching artist at Atlantic Theatre Company.

Adara Baltazar (STAGE MANAGER, SOUND DESIGNER) is delighted to be returning to BETC for both sound design and stage management. Kate Gleason (DIRECTOR) last appeared with BETC in Little Women and Annapurna (Westword Award, Best Actress). Broadway: Noises Off, The Pillowman. Selected Off-Broadway: Henry IV (Brooklyn Academy of Music), A Flea in Her Ear (Roundabout Theatre). Regional/ International work includes performing with Playmakers Rep, Baltimore Center Stage, Northern Stage, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Vienna's English Theatre, Hebbel Theatre Berlin, Off Square Theatre, The Arvada Center, DCPA Theatre Company, and Theatreworks. As a director, she has worked with several Colorado companies including The Arvada Center, The Aurora Fox, Miners Alley, Benchmark, Thunder River Theatre Company as well as Off Square Theatre Company in Jackson Hole, WY.
Marisa Hebert (INTIMACY COORDINATOR) She/Her Is an Actor, Director, Intimacy Director, and Playwright located in Colorado Springs, CO where she lives with her wife and rescue dogs. Marisa has worked – both on stage and behind the scenes – at Theatreworks COS, The Fine Arts Center at Colorado Collage, Curious Theater, Lone Tree Arts Center, The Aurora Fox, and numerous other regional theatres. Katie Hopwood McCleaf (PROPS DESIGN / OPERATIONS COORDINATOR) Katie’s prop work was most recently featured in BETC shows: Witch, Mary Jane, Brooklyn Laundry, Every Brilliant Thing, The Thin Place, Cry It Out, Holly, Alaska!, The Children, The Royale, Eden Prairie, 1971, and the touring truck shows- Amelia’s Big Idea and Dorothy’s Dictionary. Erin Thibodaux (LIGHTING DESIGN) is a lighting designer, director, and writer whose work has been seen across the country. Recent lighting design credits include: Mary Jane, Every Brilliant Thing, The Thin Place, Cry It Out, The White Chip, Enemy of the People, Coal Country (BETC); Sweeney Todd (The Arts HUB); Waitress, Shakespeare in Love, Matilda, Rent (Quincy Community Theatre); Alice by Heart, Annie, Little Women, SPACE, The Prom, Lost Girl, The Play that Goes Wrong (Ghostlight Theater Camp).
